Decontamination & Demolition ECI offers its customers complete, turnkey expertise for facility closures. We specialize in complex and difficult decontamination and demolition ( D & D ) projects. ECI provides full service asbestos and lead abatement capabilities to compliment its facility closure offering. ECl's full time, professionally trained personnel have experience working with all types of projects including vinyl floor tiling, spray-on acoustical ceilings, boiler blankets, fireproofing, pipe insulation, fire doors, and oven bricks. Plant Closures Decommissioning Asbestos and Lead Abatement ECI has the capability to provide full service asbestos management. In order to provide turnkey project performance through ECI, asbestos services continue to be enhanced with full time trained professionals and technicians. ECI has the resources to complete both large abatements and small spot abatement activities. Abatement experience extends to all types of asbestos contaminated material and coverings. ECI owns and maintains all removal equipment, including negative air machines, personal protective equipment, and air monitoring equipment Waste Management On-Site Services ECI provides onsite facility maintenance programs for numerous manufacturing and production facilities. We utilize a dedicated and experienced staff of environmental professionals and skilled field personnel to become an integrated part of each customer's environmental organization and function as an extension of that group. The ECI crew will provide onsite daily services in conjunction with in - house environmental staff, or they may be scheduled on an as needed basis. Services may include drum labeling, spill clean up, lab packing, or a full-scale waste management plan. As part of the turn-key waste management program, ECI conducts on-going chemical packaging services, including miscellaneous acids, alkaline chemicals, poisons, cyanides, flammables, oxidizers, beryllium, and other laboratory chemicals. Field chemists are given special training to perform lab-packing operations. With the implementation of standardized waste packaging procedures and a proprietary ECI waste management computer tracking system, waste is packaged & shipped off-site for disposal. Drums are properly labeled in DOT shipping containers, and profiled for disposal. ECl's field chemists will complete any hazardous waste documentation for proper authorization from the client. ECI will then schedule for transportation services to the proper Treatment Storage Disposal Facility (TSDF). Above-ground Storage Tank (AST) Underground Storage Tank (UST) Each project, small or large, has its unique specifications that requires new ideas to be implemented to cost effectively manage the project. ECl's talented project managers and field technicians provide the needed experience to perform all UST removal and service projects safely and efficiently. Procedures are implemented in accordance with all rules and regulations, including American Petroleum Institute (API) and OSHA requirements. ECl's services include permitting, removal, remediation, and regulatory closure. ECI has established itself with the expertise and confidence to manage your UST removal needs. Remediation Services ECI has experience managing in-situ as well as ex-situ remediation projects. ECl's resume includes stabilization /fixation of contaminated soil, bioremediation,mobile thermal desorption, soil washing, excavation and transportation. It is ECl's diversity that allows our customers to benefit from utilizing ECI to manage their remedial projects. Fixation/stabilization experience includes: Converting semi - solid or sludge wastes to a solid form having good structural integrity and reduced permeability for landfill disposal. Reducing the potential for release of toxic or highly hazardous materials during storage or handling through elimination of free liquid. Improving the physical strength characteristics of soils to enable construction or remediation activities. Bioremediation experience includes the installation of treatment systems and the completion of pilot tests. ECI is capable of installing both ex-situ and in-situ systems, and maintains a full contingent of experts for supporting the projects where bioremediation offers the most cost- effective benefit. ECI has developed relationships with selected thermal desorption companies to provide effective onsite, as well as offsite, thermal treatment capabilities. This includes both low and high temperature operations. ECI has utilized these relationships to remediate a wide variety of contaminated sites. ECI has experience and expertise in using soil-washing processes to reduce volumes of contaminated material by treating the material to acceptable levels. Virtually every remediation project involves some form of excavation or earth moving. ECI generates an excavation plan to ensure worker safety, containment of pollutants, and compliance with applicable regulations. Earth moving is often an element of larger actions, such as, containing and controlling releases, stabilization, slurry trenching, stream diversion, and source removal.The experts at ECI provide the most responsible and cost-effective site remediation services in the industry with complete understanding of all state and federal regulations. ECI employees have experience with cleaning storage tanks containing materials such as: petroleum oil, sodium hydroxide, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, methylene chloride, styrene, and numerous other hazardous materials.
